Dominion Diagnostics is transitioning from the OraSure oral fluid collection device to the Quantisal device. This update is required due to changes in our EIA test reagents, which are only compatible with the Quantisal device. The new device has demonstrated improved performance when compared to the current device.
The last day we will be able to process oral fluid specimens collected using the OraSure device will be Friday, December 5. Beginning Monday, December 8, all oral fluid specimens must be collected using the Quantisal device. Specimens collected on or after December 8 with the OraSure device will not be processed.
